Our Region
Ommen is a small city and has therefore only few transportation services.
Almost all inhabitants have a vehicle or bike to get around, and those who haven't use the car pool or bus stop.
For tourists Ommen has a train station, found in the bottom of the map, and three taxi services, found in the downtown.
The orange line is the most used bus line, with a bus arriving at the stop every hour from 6am until 10pm.
The carpooling place isn't used that much, because its further away from the city.
In Ommen are there different ways to travel to school or work. The most populair one to travel to school is by bike and the most of the students that go to school by bike are between the age 12-15. Some of the older students go by motorcycle, because it's fatser than the bike and they have a licence to drive a motorcycle. The teachers are using the car mostly, but a few teacher use the train. The most inhabitants of Ommen are going to work with public transport or car. The reason for this is that they work at locations that are to far for a bike. (Hardenberg, Zwolle and the region Twente) And in Ommen thay sometimes use carpooling. This was the information about travelling to school or work.
here in ommen we hav several ways of public transport. the public ones are a little bus station and a little train station. the private ones are cars and bikes. bus and train stations are used by young People who live very far away from ommen and have to go there on a daily basis. cars are used by grown up people who can live far or close to ommen. bikes are used by young people who live close or far away from ommen. the traffic in ommen is well organized.
The most used way to travel is by bicycle, you probably heard it before but if you didn’t.
It’s massive!
But if you talk about traveling long distances the most people go by car, in our minds the amount of cars are much but you will probably say it’s very calm on our roads.
Students are mostly traveling by train cause they’re old enough to travel by themselfs
Going to a vacation place is the car still the most used, after that comes an airplane.
When you’re going into big cities a tram is very popular
But overall the most used way of traveling is by bicycle and the fastest is by car

People in this region are satisfied with the ways they travel to things like school, clubs or supermarkets. From the 12 people i interviewed, eleven are satisfied with the means of transport they have. Only one person wasn’t satisfied with his means of transport, because he has to cycle 15 kilometers to things like school. So my conclusion is that the most people in my region are satisfied with the means of transport and only a small group of people are not. But this select group of people doesn’t life in the villages or the small city’s in the region. They life on the country side where there aren’t much ways to travel by public transport. They mostly travel (if they are kids) by bicycle and (if they are adults) by car. If there where more way of public transport on the country side, that would help enormously .
Conclusion
Our conclusion, is that transport in our region is very different. People travel with bikes, busses, cars, trams and so on. Traffic here is relatively save. And there aren’t a lot of traffic accidents. It is save to travel by bicycle. Public transport is good, but it could get better. People are also relatively satisfied with their means of travel.
