''Why did we call ourselves De Kaaskoppen?''
We called ourselves De Kaaskoppen because it means cheeseheads in Dutch. In the Netherlands we eat and make a lot of cheese. There has to be thought of (you have to add the right amount of ingredients) and so you use your head. And we just thought it was funny, that was probably the most important reason.
''School''
We are four students from 2TTA which means the second year of ''Bilingual Education''. We get each subject in English except for the languages of course and technology. Our form teacher is Ms. Richardson, but she also teaches us French, she's a really nice teacher.
Each year, we go to England and this year we'll go to London, we are really looking forward to the trip!

In Tilburg a lot of kids want to meet with their friends at meeting places. It's okay that they want to hang out, but what's not okay, is making a mess. Destroying things at the public meeting places or disturb other people. That’s why the government decided to make a campaign. Together with the government, people who work with troubled or addicted children and children themselves, they try to make a plan and avoid as much complaining about children who hang out as possible. They try to inform as much children about the campaign and the rules of hanging out. 4. What does the Reeshof need to improve?
he Reeshof is still growing, and so is the population. So the Reeshof has to make sure there will be more places to meet and that there are more and different activities to join.
To give the youth more fun, the municipality started different activities. They want to start a new festival where young people can show their talent! Also the municipality is trying to get famous people at that festival. All the people come together to enjoy. Most activities are hold the Reeshof Park. One of the biggest meeting places in the Reeshof.
In the Reeshof Park every summer on a Tuesday, there is always a big activity with much people called Palm Parkies. This is a kind of mini concert of famous people. Not people like Robbie Williams, but just less famous people with good music! Every Tuesday there come more than 1000 people to this concert! It’s a great place to meet new friends and have a good time. Also they want to start a special cinema to let the people come together. For young and old people. This will make sure that people start to meet new people and understand each other. They will hold this cinema in big schools so there is enough space for everyone that wants to come and meet new people.

5. Meeting places for elderly.
Eindhoven, a city near Tilburg, there are special public meeting places for elderly people. An organisation, called PvdA, thinks that public meeting places for the elderly should be taken for granted and that there should be an elderly meeting place in every city. At those meeting places, the elderly people should be able to pin money easily, charge their rollator or electric scooter, get help with filling in forms and of course, sit comfortably and talk with other people.
In some cities and villages near Tilburg they already have meeting places for people above the age of 60. There have already been a lot of tests if everything at those meeting places are okay and comfortable. There have been tests if the benches sat OK and if the thresholds are not too high or too low for older people. There are also special places to sit for people with a disease on their back. A lot of people are happy with those meeting places, because a lot of elderly people don't sign up for a club, and they lose contact with other people. Also a lot of old people can't go to meeting places for younger adults, because they are not comfortable in those places, or because it's too hard to get there because of a disease they have, or because they can't walk properly.

Conclusion
In tilburg there are a lot of meeting places, but a lot of people never go there. From the people that do go to meeting places the most like to go to a park, but for teens the shopping centres are more popular. the most people's reason to go to a meeting place is to meet and talk with friends. The most attractive meeting places are the ones with lots of people that go there. There is one thing people want to improve about meeting places and that is that they need more places to sit, because often people don't like to stand for to long. Some of us expected this outcome, but others expected that more people would go to meeting places, so some of us were kind of surprised this outcome. Our recommendation to the municipality is to add more sitplaces to meeting places, so more people will come, a point they can improve about meeting places is to add more activities to do at and around a meeting place. |
Comparison
The people in Tilburg don't go to meeting places that often, and if they go they go to parks or shopping centres, in india people go to meeting places a lot more and if they go they often go to library's to study with friends. |
